The business office partners with traditional departments and the larger research community across the University to support and advance the mission of the Institute by providing expertise in the area of research administration amongst others. As an interdisciplinary research institute, the Princeton Materials Institute fosters research and educational project collaborations involving multiple institutions in academia and industry through a number of programs like the NSF’s Major Research Instrumentation (MRI), Materials Research Science and Engineering Centers (MRSEC), and the DOD’s Multi University Research Initiatives.
